James Prater Biography

My name is James Prater, founder of Omega Ministries. This music ministry had its roots in my early childhood. My father was the pastor of a church in Tuscumbia, AL, where I saw my grandparents play music and sing on Sundays. Shortly after my grandfather passed away, the Lord gifted me with an ear for music and a talent for writing songs. Not having any fellowship in my age range I spent several hours daily at the church working on music. At the age of sixteen I moved away from Alabama only to return in the year of 2001 as I was experiencing a very deep and hurtful depression. My parents during this time had moved to Oklahoma as my father accepted the pastorialship of a small church.  In the summer of 2002 I experienced two supernatural dreams wherein I feel the Lord was commissioning me to move to Oklahoma and start a music ministry.  In them I saw the effects that the music would have with people. After I moved to Oklahoma and began the music ministry I saw the Lord use my music in a way I had never seen before as people would rejoice, cry, and run to the altar and give their praises to God. Today JP and OM is an evangelistic music ministry as we travel town to town singing, and testifying of the love of God in our lives.

"Life After Death"

Tabetha Prater's Story

June 1, 2000 just another day for most everyone but for me it was a day that would change life as I knew it forever. I was a sixteen year old with a normal life I didn't party, drink or speed. I worked three jobs and I was home schooled. I had a loving family and things were looking good until the last thing I ever expected happened.  I was just like everyone out there I said It would never happen to me I was wrong. It was a beautiful Spring day not a cloud in site, you know the kind of day you just want to enjoy. It was about 8am I got up early to take my mom to work so I could have the car for my job which I began at 3pm my mom got off at 5pm we only worked a block apart. I dropped her off at work and took a scenic drive home which was a normal thing for me but today was different today this drive would change my life. I was driving near a old river bridge when I lost control of my car and flipped it off a 80ft embankment. It wasn't until later I knew the full story I awoke in a ICU room at St. Johns Hospital in Joplin, Mo. I could not feel or move anything below my neck and I had a tube down my throat that helped me breathe. The doctors said that I would be like that for the rest of my life. They were wrong! Too here the rest of my story please call or email me at (918) 944-3790 jpandom@gmail.com or to schedule a time for me to share my testimony and my husbands music.
