JPandOM is more than just a music ministry. We are a group of nine people that have testimonies of God's wonders in our lives, such as Tabby telling her life story; we offer prayer for people who need direction or who want to make Jesus Christ their personal Saviour (in many of our concerts, we open up the altars for prayer, and my entire group of nine will pray for those who come into our prayer line; on different occasions, some have come to me asking for one-on-one prayer); we offer encouragement to the discouraged, or to those who have seemingly lost their way; we tell people about Jesus Christ. Although music is what we are known for, it is only a portion of what JPandOM offers.
This year, JPandOM has reached more people than ever before. We try to support overseas missions, but we also realize that one of the largest mission fields is right here in the USA.
Many of the people we minister to in prayer, song, and testimony are people who are in desperate need of a touch from God. It is amazing to see how grown men and women will break down into tears as you offer prayer for them. Some will fall down at the altar; others come through our prayer line; some ask for one-on-one prayer; some sit silently in their seat, crying, worshipping, tears strolling down their faces, their hands in the air offering praise to God. I am not the only who will testify of this... ask any of my group members.
Many churches and centers have opened up their doors to us this year, and many weekends we are gone away from our home church. But the response of people to this ministry when we are doing our evangelism is overwhelming. There is such a pull on the gift that I am usually worn out by the end of the concerts. But
We love to travel... it is a passion, a desire, and I also believe it's a calling. And I thank God for every mile that my group and I have traveled this year, and I pray that it will increase through next year.
